OK, a little while ago Mary got an email from one of our friends, which led to me to the realization that I didn’t have easy access to their phone numbers. In this case, I somehow seem to have entered their mailing and emailing address into my Mac’s Address Book without ever adding the cell phone numbers. I was able to give them a call after scouring some old emails, and then I updated the Address Book database,

Let me tell you, iSync is slick! Using iSinc (via my wireless Bluetooth connection), I was able to update all the numbers in my Ericsson T-610′s phone book with just a few clicks. A few more clicks brought all of those numbers into the phone’s SIM card, so now I can chose to speed-dial them from an alphabetized list, which includes home, fax and cell numbers!
Any resentment I’ve harbored about having to rebuild all of my contacts into Address Book deserve some serious reconsideration at this point. This is the first opportunity I’ve had to make such practical use of this technology, so it’s got me thinking. Now, I can’t help wonder what it will be like to add a Palm Pilot to my toy chest.
