Today started off at a good clip and stayed that way. Although I only have my speech class on Thursdays I also have a club meeting directly after that. After meeting for the last two weeks, today the Worldly Philosophers and Dismal Scientists Society (WPDSS) sat down and elected officials for the club for the year. It’s all a blur at the moment, but I now find that I am the club President!
The majority of the club members are new to this club. Its legacy is pretty high profile on campus. I’ll be making it a(nother) priority.
After the elections, I spent a few hours at the school attending to some admin-related inquiries about the club web site and spent some time this evening shifting some things around at home to better accommodate this new opportunity. I’m not really sure where all of this is going. The club consists of a great group of people, so I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of them better.
