Just how much is 2Gb?
I got up before dawn yesterday and started playing with my new camera. I took pictures all day long and into the night. I ended up with 302 pictures by the end of the evening, several of which I’ll even keep. The battery was worn down, but the 2Gb memory card in the camera indicated that I could’ve taken over 800 more shots!

WPDSS Elections
Today started off at a good clip and stayed that way. Although I only have my speech class on Thursdays I also have a club meeting directly after that. After meeting for the last two weeks, today the Worldly Philosophers and Dismal Scientists Society (WPDSS) sat down and elected officials for the club for the year. It’s all a blur at the moment, but I now find that I am the club President!

Upping the ante with Nikon
After what seems like an eternity of weighing the pros to the cons, I’ve placed an order for a Nikon D-70! Although I can’t really afford this camera, I also realize I can’t afford to not make this particular purchase. Fortunately for all, our present culture of greed provides a dizzying array of opportunities for one to destroy one’s credit.
