One Month Left

Among other things, I’ve finally started working on a new web site that will host my online portfolio. The idea for the portfolio is pretty straightforward. I’m retooling a new Movable Type site that will host a gallery of images of my work. Since it will be an MT site it will be scalable, so I’m working on it with the realization that it may be online for quite some time. I’ve had the notion to do this for years now, but I’ve always bailed out on the idea deep in the development stages. I’ve learned that my ability to be my own, harshest critic can completely negate my inspiration when I’m not careful. I’m really trying to keep this in mind this time out.

School is starting in a month now (which is another reason to get the portfolio site done as soon as possible). That really doesn’t give me much time to get my ducks in a row. Although I have a number of things I need to work on relating to Brown, this weekend really needs to be about setting priorities and getting organized. There’s been a lot of that going on lately. It’s still all about achieving a better balance.
Which brings me back to the issue of my personal studies. Yeah, I’m can report that I’ve been in my books a little bit more lately, but not as much as I’d like to. I think I need to start taking some long walks again. I need to get quiet. I’m working on it.
