A Timely Gift

062304BLOG_1.jpgI found this gift, that Mary had left for me, on my desk when I got home. It’s an old series of books by Ansel Adams. I’d already been feeling bad about postponing and postponing sending Narelle a birthday card, so I really found the timing ironic. Mary’s note simply read, “Don’t forget to be a photographer.”

I have got to get the present tasks accomplished so I can get a little breather. I need balance. The biggest problem is that I am the only one that can do these next few steps. I have a few people that are looking to get seiously involved in what’s being started here, but I have to keep running this leg of the race on my own.
I am a so grateful for their support and kindness.
Oh, and one last note: My mom called me last night and told me that she got the copy of the article that ran in the Northwest Asain Weekly, which I sent to her. Her tone was quite different than it has been. I think she may be beginning to understand why I’ve been doing what I am doing. (This is a relief.)
