Lighting Equipment Windfall
I’ve been feeling a bit of the change associated with having this latest work completed on “BrownEqualsTerrrorist.” I’ve been able to slow down a bit and just work on domestic issues. It’s been a nice change of pace.

One Of “Those” Mornings
I wasn’t feeling one hundred percent when I went to bed last night, and I think that contributed to my getting up late this morning. (Pizza, salad and ice cream just before bed wasn’t such a bright idea after all.) Of course, the station on the radio alarm clock wasn’t tuned in, so there wasn’t much sound to rouse me. It was a slow start.

Busting My Ass
Man, am I beat. I’ve spent the majority of my weekend working on my new site, www.brownequalsterrorist.com. Since deciding to spin the whole issue with the Ballard Locks off to its own location, I’ve been ultra busy with setting that site up. I like what I’m coming up with so far, and hope to have the majority of the big stuff done in the next few days. The refinements can come later.

Low Key
I put in a slightly longer day at work than I have been lately, but that’s no big deal to me. There’s just a lot going on there right now, so I’m needed. I’m glad to be of use. The people at this assignment are a real pleasure to work with, which makes me want to help them out that much more.

A Timely Gift
I found this gift, that Mary had left for me, on my desk when I got home. It’s an old series of books by Ansel Adams. I’d already been feeling bad about postponing and postponing sending Narelle a birthday card, so I really found the timing ironic. Mary’s note simply read, “Don’t forget to be a photographer.”

Happy Birthday, Narelle!
I blew it. Yes, I know that today is your birthday, and I am (and have been) thinking of you. Despite my best intentions, I forgot to send you a birthday card. You know that I’ve been terribly busy since this “little” drama began, but also know that we’re still far closer than these kinds of limitations reflect. As trite as this entry may be, I trust that you’ll understand my intention and forgive my carelessness.

“Brown” Adds MT
Well, it got a little sticky there for a while last night, but I was able to get Movable Type installed on brownequalsterrorist.com with very little effort this morning. I just need the night’s rest in order to resolve my difficulties with completing the installation. It happens.

A Few Thoughts
I’m taking advantage of my last break of my workday to reflect on a few things. You know, this canvassing thing has been a lot more than just my trying to get the word out to my neighbors. Again: It’s not about me. Quite often, when I’m talking about my own experience, the people I’ve approached respond by sharing a slice of their own personal experience. Sometimes, these experiences are quite graphic.

Gas Works 24th Annual Peace Concert
It’s getting late in the day and I’m happy to feel the shift in the temperature. One of my online sources tells me that it’s 87°f right now, which feels significantly cooler that just an hour ago. (By the way: That’s is around 30.55°c for those of you living in the greater metric system.) My blinds are rattling gently from the growing breeze, a herald of the setting summer sun. I can hear the laughter and squeals of children playing somewhere just beyond my window, and my stupid “Wind Tunnel” G4 is whining like a hairdryer.

Another Foglers’ Moment
I love early Sunday mornings. The streets are empty and quiet. The buildings and trees are lit with golden sunlight that’s unique to early summer. Birds are hailing the dawn, and a gentle breeze stirs the air. Sunday mornings are a wonderful time to collect one’s thought and listen for inspiration.
