What Is Up

I actually made it out to the darkroom yesterday, which was my first visit there in a week! I brought a new package of photo paper with me (250 sheets this time), so I was able to really focus on enlarging the best print I could instead of worrying about managing my paper supplies. (You can see what I was working on in my photoblog.)

I suppose that I should mention that Movable Type, the application that powers this site, is going through some serious growing pains at the moment, which could, eventually, affect this site. The good people over at Six Apart (the company that makes MT) have just released a new upgrade of the program that now offers new and convenient pricing options for its users but very few new features. This has really pissed off the loyal user base of MT users, and it remains to be seen what long term affects this will have on the program and the company. (It’s a difficult call. They have a right to be able to make some money on their application, and MT will need money in order to improve. On the other hand, they’ve just alienated the support base that got them where they are in the first place.)
Well, I’ve got some personal business to attend to before I head out to Shoreline. Tonight’s Photo Club will be an outing to a nearby park where we’ll be shooting rolls of infrared film. I have no idea what to expect, but I’m really looking forward to this outing!
