Yesterday was very exciting, in fact, it was far too exciting for my tastes. Obviously, I had some personal business that I had to address (and yet another life lesson to learn), and that really took some air out from under me. It didn’t help that I was supposed to be concentrating on the photo shoot I was setting up, or that I lost my car keys just as I was leaving for that shoot. Way too much negative energy, but I still can’t help but laugh. (It wasn’t quite so easy to laugh yesterday, however.)
My photography project is really in sad shape at this point. I actually missed my class in order to work on my assignment. My nephew and I took a good amount of time to set up the required shots, but I later realized that I’ve failed to meet one part of the technical requirements for this project. Thinking about, I realize that if this was a real job and I’d been able to achieve 95% of the technical requirements I’d still consider my work a failure. I’m scrambling a bit today with what little time I have remaining, hoping to take a second shot at it. The project is due tomorrow, so I’m really behind the Eight Ball.
I have only a little time to kill for the moment, so I’d better make the most of it. I’m heading over to the darkroom to develop some film and make some contact sheets.
