I Confess: I Buckled

I’ve been living outside of my Franklin for the better part of the week, so I took some time to really address my personal business this morning. There’s nothing like knowing exactly where you stand with your finances, especially when the outlook isn’t disastrous.

Beyond this attention to personal matters, in a moment of weakness I did something rather rash. As you know, I’ve been very busy this week, trying to get things done before school and work start next week. I’ve been occupied with the idea of with fleshing out this web site, and with thoughts involving photography. In fact, I was reading one of the many phototography books I’ve collected, and came across the following:
You need more than one lens. A major advantage of cameras with interchangeable lenses is the opportunity to choose among lenses with different angles of view so you can match the capabilities of the lens to the scene you intend to shoot and the purpose you have in mind.
and,
Unfortunately, the only way to experience wide-angle and telephoto photography is to do it yourself with your own eyeball looking through the lens and your own evaluation of the resulting slide or print. Nobody can really tell you or teach you about it.
Right now, I have a Zuiko (zoo-ee’-koe) 50mm lens, and a Sigma (never heard of them) 28
