I drove out to Shoreline Community College after work today and paid my deposit for Spring Quarter. It certainly looks like I will be going into photography in a very short amount of time. What a trip.
One realizion I faced on my way out to Shoreline was the fact that I’ll be fighting six miles of rush-hour traffic during the quarter, unless I figure something out. My photography classes are only two days a week, but I still don’t know about scheduling lab time. I’d like to ask a few more questions and make any arrangements I can to make this easier on my schedule, but it looks like I may have to wait for class to start.
Nick, a server over at Vera’s (the best diner in Ballard), has told me a little about his taking classes over at Shoreline. Last weekend, when he heard that I’d signed up for classes, he told me to go buy film and start taking pictures now. He said that I’m going to need the film so I can have things to work on. Makes sense to me. I’ve got a full quarter ahead of me, and I’m paying for it out of my own pocket, so I’d better do all I can to get the most bang for my buck. I’ll get film this before this weekend’s out.
I have a lot of things I’d like to do before I start school. I haven’t had enough time to really think about it. If I don’t end up on an assignment, next week will provide some convenient down time. (Funny that.) I’d best get on my horse and ride!
