It’s a little hard for me to believe tomorrow is the last day of the month. I’ve been so busy with the new job that I really haven’t had the chance to let things settle in. Yet, at the same time, I can see that a lot has happened.
Due to an unforeseen change in my work schedule, I had today off. Although I had originally agreed to work overtime at Winn Devon this weekend, Jeff informed yesterday morning that authorization for his request had been declined by a comptroller. He mentioned something about them not wanting to pay me $60 an hour (…at which point I did some quick math). I accepted this last minute change as graciously as possible, and even offered to leave work early yesterday to eliminate the possibility of OT hours on this week’s time sheet. I ended up starting my weekend at 1:00 yesterday afternoon.
Today was a pleasant, welcome, and much-needed departure from the serious tone I’ve been in lately. Kelsey came to visit this weekend, off schedule, but this has not interfered with my intent to welcome to spontaneity. (Ahem. All concerns I’d voiced earlier are hereby retracted
