Morning Madness

I was so tired this morning that I actually let Mary get up before me, which rarely happens. We weren’t up too late last night, but the last week, including the last weekend, was pretty cerebral. So I was content to just fade in and out for a while, hiding in the dark, until about 6:30a.m..

The ritual and confusion of getting ready for work in the morning is enjoyable, if not treasured. Considering how little we’ve been able to work over the last three years, it’s really no surprise. I’m especially grateful that we have two bathrooms!
I dressed quickly after my shower–still feeling worn, but one helluva lot better. Not having my work commute completely worked out yet, I was still doing the math. Yesterday, I told Jeff (my boss) that I was still trying to figure out the best time to come in, so I’d be trying to come earlier, which, in turn, means I leave earlier, which is just fine by me. So, this morning, as I weighed the schedule against the thought of breakfast I started to relax a little.
Mary had come into the bedroom, and at some point (that I wasn’t really paying that much attention to) she started to escalate. “Oh, no!” she exclaimed, rushing to look at my computer, which had just fired up,
Apparently, she’d hit the wrong button while setting the alarm last night and had accidentally changed the time, setting the clock one hour ahead. No wonder Willy was confused.
