I walked out of work today at 6:00, “Magic hour.” The afternoon’s 70° zephyr was an amazing contrast to the morning’s chilly downpour. Tucking my coat and pullover in my backpack, with umbrella in hand, I walked northward along the shore side route of the local 17, the bus I’d just missed. What an amazing end to my workday.
Some of the assignment I get can be excruciatingly slow. This isn’t one of those. I spent most of my day working on more of the MSN files, this time flowing in applying the new style sheets I’d created. With thirteen (or so) variations of inserts, booklets and CD’s to have going through rounds, I’ve definitely got my work cut out for me. (It also helps that my supervisor, Jason, really knows what he’s doing. He gives great direction and has an respectful management style.)

Lunch blew me away. There was a series of emails yesterday that were talking about the lunch the company was going to buy today, including solicitation for ideas. At around 11:00 this morning two guys from a catering company walked in with heated bags and an assortment of large, plastic containers. They even went to the trouble of setting up the entire spread in the lunchroom before leaving.
With my cube a mere five feet from the kitchen, I couldn’t pass the email announcement up. I stuffed myself on salad, chicken lasagna, Jalape
