Transition Complete!

After realizing that my site had propagated last night, I controlled the urge to jump right in and update some of the backend info that had been jury-rigged to get my new server up and running. I’ve been working on this site pretty intensely, so just decided to let it rest Continue reading

Propagation

I’ve been checking on my site all day today, and have just now seen that it’s propagated. Woo-hoo. On the down side, I’m having problems with the Comment links. Please be patient as I try to resolve this issue.

Ballard Health Club

Having those nasty little domain transfer issues resolved (at least for the moment), I made use of the down-time this afternoon by rejoining the Ballard Health Club. I’ve been a member on two separate occasions, but something always seems to come up. I’ve bought a one-month pass this time, hoping to lease a little quiet time.

After morning study, I caught up on some reading. I’ve been looking at a lot of online articles that talk about using Movable Type for purposes other than blogging. I’ve recognized some real value in what I’ve found so far.

Today’s Highlights

First order of duty for our day was to hit the Seattle Goodwill for their Literacy Book Sale, which happens about twice a year. Thousands of books are strewn about a back room for these sales, piled on and under tables, reaching from wall to wall. There’s no sorting order at all, so it’s just one great big free-for-all. And with all price for all books at $1.49 or less, it gets to be a madhouse!
