This Is Not A Fire Drill

I wasn’t able to workout today. A power outage hit half the gym just as I arrived. They originally thought it was a blown fuse, but they later had to evacuate due to a fire in a nearby sewer grating. I was already started when they made the announcement. Three fire trucks closed off the center of Ballard as smoke continued to escape from somewhere beneath the sidewalk. I don’t actually know anything more, except that I’d really wanted to work out.

Mary went to a job interview with a stock art company today. It’s a small firm that needs someone to handle sales. It sounds like a good opportunity, but I note that they mentioned having four hundred applicants for the single position.
I think I’m finally finished organizing the paperwork that’s been hiding my desk for the last few weeks. I know that having this personal area in order is a reflection of other things, so I’m glad to see this change.
I also finished uploading my portfolio samples to an agency today. I’ve put a lot of work into building my online collection on their web server. I’m glad to have this chore completed.
