Today’s been great! Having finally resolved all of my site’s transition issues, I chose to address some of those administration issues I’ve been procrastinating on. I even took time to archive my site and the corresponding project folder, complete with exported entries. Long overdue, I’m happy to have this particular CD in my collection.
It wasn’t long after I’d posted my previous entry that I’d bailed out to Ballard Heath for my first workout. I took a long time and treated myself to my full routine. It feels fantastic to have gone out and done something so physical, providing a welcome alternative to the mental extremes of the last few days. (Even last night, I spent about three hours addressing serious font management issues. Whew!)
Ooo,. and I’ve also started defining and playing with a new personal project today, but I’m not ready to talk about it. Not yet. Deal with it.
Late in the afternoon, I spent about an hour showing Mary the process of uploading pictures for her blog. This is the kind of stuff I’ve been waiting for! She had to work with Photoshop, create a new directory for her uploaded blog images for her web site, and then had to use Movable Type to pull it all together. This is the first time that she’s had all of these pieces come together!
(By the way, if you do visit her site you can see the main reason I needed to switch hosts. Just click on those photos.)
I’m tired and HUN-GRY from my workout. We bought a bunch of carefully-selected groceries this afternoon, and I’m just about ready to tear into some about now! I haven’t had fish in a while.
Tonight is the season premiere of The West Wing! Being my current favorite show, Mary and I have been waiting for this all summer. We just started watching West Wing about a year ago by a late-night fluke, and we were instantly hooked. It really helps that one of the cable channels, Bravo, has gained syndication, and has recently begun airing all of the episodes from the first four seasons in succession. We may have come in late, but we’re catching up quick!
