Change In Plans

Kinda’ feel like writing. I’ll try to keep some entries coming until I get the next inspiration to get quiet comes.
Little things continue to delight me. Willy’s learned to crawl under the covers of our bed, unassisted. He just nuzzles under the covers and shoves his way in, falling into a heap when he’s back far enough to blot out all the light. The bed looks unkempt and lumpy when he’s in there, and he does a great Son of Blob impression when he wakes and tries to get out.
At quarter to ten o’clock this morning I got a call from The Smart Department. My agent explained that the client has opted to just look through resumes today, as opposed to reviewing portfolios. He still wants me to be available to go to them if they need me tomorrow. (That’s the job, and I’m not bothered.) When I asked for a little more info, he offered his opinion that that this could become a recurring gig, and possibly even permanent, which really help me to understand the client’s state of mind. For now, I’m hanging loose and making use of the down time.
Anyway, the change in plans freed me up to go out to St. Vincent today with Mary, which was a welcome change. (Their holiday sale left them looking like a tornado hit them.) We worked for about four hours, but them was an unusually large inventory, so it didn’t feel like we accomplished that much. Nevertheless, it was good.
I spent most of the rest of my day reconsidering my approach to the agencies I’ve been working with lately; listening for the right idea. I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Although I’m not in high gear development of my marketing materials, I have been reviewing all of my notes, sketches and outlines.
